Create an optional Sage Accounting user for Woosage

Create an optional Sage Accounting user for Woosage

While this step is optional, we we recommend that you add a Woosage user  to allow us to access Sage Accounting on your behalf when installing WoosageBCA or providing ongoing support. If you do not add an additional user for Woosage, then we will not be able to access your Sage account as it requires 2-factor authentication.  The user permissions can be changed or revoked at any time (see Removing the Woosage user).

Adding a Woosage user

To add Woosage as a user on your Sage account carry out the following steps:
  1. In the black menu bar at the top of the Sage Accounting page, hover over your business name and select select Manager users, as shown below

  1. Click the green Add user button
  2. Enter support@woosage.com in the Email field
  3. Select Accounting in the Product Field and Administrator in the Role field (see below)
  4. Alert
DO NOT tick the checkbox under Subscription Administrator
  5. Click the green Add button
This will send our support desk an invitation to be added to your your account.
InfoUser Roles - the Woosage user role must be Administrator for installation and setup. Ongoing support can be provided using the other roles, but this may restrict the level of support we can provide.

The settings are shown below for reference.

  1. Select Manage users from the top menu bar.
  2. Select the Woosage user from the list on the left.
