Sage Backup conflicts

Sage Backup conflicts

Historically, Sage would not run backups while other users where logged in to the same company in Sage. If Woosage tried to run when a backup was running, then it reported an "exclusive mode" error and paused until the next processing cycle was due.  Sage is able to run backups while users are logged in, following an update to Sage several years ago that many clients do not appear to be aware of. However, this facility must be enabled in Sage 50 Accounts.

Enabling Backups With Users Logged In

To enable this feature carry out the following steps while logged in to Sage 50 Accounts as Manager.
  1. Select Settings>Company Preferences.
  2. Enter your Manager password if requested.
  3. Select the Parameters tab.
  4. Tick the checkbox Enable check data and backup with users logged in (highlighted below).
  5. Click OK.
