Woosage50 FAQs

The following information is intended to deal with any initial questions you may have about moving to Woosage50 from the current version.
  1. Is there any additional cost to the new version?
    1. No, all updates to Woosage are included in the subscription fee, which remains at its current level.
  2. What if we have problems with the new version?
    1. We will continue to provide a dedicated Woosage support team and you should raise a ticket in the first instance by emailing support@woosage.com
  3. Does Woosage50 take up more website resources?
    1. It uses slightly more storage that the current version to accommodate the settings and log data, but it will use much less processing resource (processor & memory) as it uses a more efficient API.
  4. Will Woosage50 run on a server?
    1. Yes, the Woosage50 service component is more suited to being run on a server as there are no user controls. In fact, if your Sage data is on a server, we recommend that we install the service component there. However, if you run Sage on a PC, Woosage50 service can be installed there too.
  5. Does Woosage50 support Sage Remote Data Access (RDA, formerly SageDrive)?
    1. If you are using RDA, as with teh previous version, Woosage50 must be connected to the master data source, not one of the satellite copies.
  6. Do I have to move to this new version?
    1. Yes. As of June 2024 we will no longer be providing updates for the new version and we will cease to support it at the end of August 2024
  7. How long does it take to migrate to the new version?
    1. The update normally takes around 30 minutes, but may take slightly longer if the service component is being moved to a server.
