Forcing a Stock Reset

Forcing a Stock Reset

Woosage uses a local database to keep track of Sage stock changes and adds new products stock positions when added to Sage with PTW set.

Following installation, under normal circumstances, Woosage will only push stock changes to the website if they change in Sage, and then only if it differs from the website, as the website will maintain product stock positions for orders, provided that track stocking is enabled as shown below.

If you have made manual changes to your website stock you may want to have Woosage get all stock positions from Sage for all web products, which can be done as follows.

Check that Update stock on setup is enabled in Woosage50>Settings>Advanced and enable if not (this setting can be left enabled)
Click Save Settings

On the device (PC or server) where the Woosage50Service is installed, remove the Woosage database as follows.
Open Services and Stop the Woosage50Service
Locate and select the woosage50.db file in C:\ProgramData\Woosage50Service
Click Delete (you may need administrator rights for this)
Open Services and Start the Woosage50Service

On the website go to Woosage50>Processing>Orders
Click Run Now

This will force Woosage to get all stock positions from Sage, add them to a new database then, where different from the website positions, update them on the website.

Note, if stock tracking is not enabled in the website product Woosage cannot update it. In this case Woosage will update a custom field called Free Stock, which is visible in the Product>Sage data section. If stock tracking is subsequently enabled Woosage will immediately update the stock quantity without waiting for the orders cycle to run.
