Checking the Woosage Service is Running

The Woosage Monitor Service

Woosage has a separate optional service that has one task - to monitor the main Woosage Service and send an email alert with the following content.

The last Woosage processing cycle completed at dd/mm/yyyy at hh:mm:ss and the next cycle is now overdue, which may indicate that the Woosage Service has stopped.

Checking the Woosage Service

If you suspect Woosage has stopped working or you receive the email alert described above, then you can check the Woosage Service in the Woosage Control Centre Utilities tab, which is shown below.

If the Woosage Service Status is showing  as Stopped, then start the service using the green Start button in the left column, but if it is showing as Running then use the blue Check Status button to check.

Occasionally, the Woosage Service will show as Running, but the last cycle time indicate that it has not run for some time, in which case use the orange Restart button to restart the Woosage Service.

Checking the Licence has not Expired

Woosage is licenced in one of two ways:
  1. Licence key, which is an encrypted text string pasted into the Settings.
  2. Subscription, which is check automatically against our centralised system
We are in the process of moving all Woosage customers to subscriptions and the licence key is being phased out. During the transition you may have a subscription, a licence key or both, but whichever method is being used the validity is shown in the header of the Woosage Control Centre as Woosage - version (valid for x days), as shown in the above image. x should be greater than 0 days and shoudl not show as unlicensed
If it is indicating unlicensed then either the licence key or subscription has expired. and you will need to rectify this in one of the following ways:
  1. If you have recently been provided with a replacement licence key then check you have copied and pasted the whole key and clicked Save Settings.
  2. If you have a subscription, then check that it the renewal payment was processed (subscription articles can be found here)
