Allowing Woosage Control Centre to Run Without Administrator Permission
Woosage Control Control has facilities to start and stop the Woosage Service, which requires Administrator privileges.
If the user account for the Windows PC that Woosage is installed on does not have administrator rights then and Administrator can confer those right just for the purposes of running Woosage. They will not allow the user to carry out any other functions that require admin rights and can be do as follows.
This must be carried out by an Admin user
- Navigate to the WoosageClient.exe file, which is usually found in C:\Program Files (x86)\Woosage\WoosageClient
- Right click on it and select Properties.
- Select the Security tab.
- Click Edit.
- Enter your Administrator credentials.
- Select the user or Users (all users) and place a check mark on Full Control under the Allow column in Permissions for User.
- Click Apply and OK.
- Right-click the exe file again.
- Select Send To>Desktop (create shortcut).
- Locate the desktop shortcut
- Right-click on it and select Properties
- Select the Shortcut tab and click the Advanced... button
- Tick the Run as administrator checkbox
- Remove the old desktop shortcut (may require admin permission)
