Updating the Woosage50 Service Log On Passwords

By default, the Woosage50Service uses the Local System account.  However, if your Sage data resides on a server and Woosage50 is installed on a different device (e.g. a user PC), than the Local System account is unlikely to have permission to access the Sage data.

In this case, we will request that your IT dept. create a dedicated Windows account that the service will use to login with, rather than using the local system account, and this is usually setup when Woosage is installed.

However, if your IT policy forces regular Windows password changes, or you change it for other reasons, you will need to update the Woosage50Service settings, as follows.

Open the Services application from the Windows search bar. Alternatively, press CTRL-ALT-DEL, select Task Manager then Services tab, find the WoosageService, right-click and select Open Services.

Locate the Woosage50Service and double-click, then select the Log On tab. Select This account and change the logon password. Then click OK and Start the service.
