To move the Woosage50Service follow the steps below.
Remove the Woosage50Service from the Current Device
On the current device save the config and database files and uninstall the Woosage50Service, as follows.
- Open Windows>Services
- Locate and select the Woosage50Service
- Click Stop (on the left)
- Copy the following files that will be required on the new device
- C:\ProgramData\Woosage50Service\woosage50.db
- C:\ProgramData\Woosage50Service\Config\woosage_config.txt
- Go to Windows >Settings>Apps
- Enter woosage in the search bar to locate Woosage50Service version x.x.x (x.x.x is the installed version)
- Click the application and the click Uninstall (it may ask for confirmation)
- Enter woosage in the search bar to locate Woosage50MonitorService version x.x.x (x.x.x is the installed version).
Note: older version of Woosage50 may not have the monitor service installed. - Click the application and the click Uninstall (it may ask for confirmation)
Important. If the website is not running the latest version of the Woosage50 Plugin (see below for release folder location) we recommend updating it, as the installed version of the plugin may be incompatible with the latest version of the service. Note: If you have not already updated to the 64-bit version of Sage we recommend doing so, as new features are now only being added to the 64-bit versionof Woosage.Installing the Woosage50Service on the New Device
- Copy the previously saved config & database files to a local temporary folder (e.g. Downloads)
- Download the latest version of the Woosage50Service & Woosage50MonitorService installers from here and save to your local drive, as follows.
- In the Woosage Releases>Woosage50 Service Installer folder there are 2 sub-folders containing the 32 & 64-bit versions of the Woosage50Service and Woosage50MonitorService installers. There is also a sub-folder containing previous versions. Select the relevant subfolder for the next step.
IMPORTANT: the version (32/64) of Woosage must match the version of Sage. (e.g. if using the 64 bit version of Sage you must use the 64-bit version of Woosage).
- click the checkbox next to the file Woosage50Setup_vx.x.x.exe (x.x.x is the version number). If more than 1 file use the highest version number. Note: the 64-bit version have a_x64 filename suffix.
- click the Download button at the top of the page.
- Repeat steps b & c for the file Woosage50MonitorSetup_vx-x-x.exe
- Locate the downloaded files in turn start with the Woosage50Setup file
- Double click (or right-click and select Open) to run the Woosage installer
- In the Woosage Setup dialogue box:
- Tick the Install Config File checkbox
- Tick the Start Service checkbox
- Click the Next button
- In the Select Config File dialogue box browse to locate the previously saved woosage_config.txt file and click Next
- When the installer has completed, click Finish
- Copy the previously saved woosage50.db to the following folder, replacing the existing file
- C:\ProgramData\Woosage50Service
- Repeat for the Woosage50MonitorSeup file
- Double click (or right-click and select Open) to run the Woosage installer
- In the Woosage Monitor Setup dialogue box:
- Tick the Start Service checkbox
- Click the Next button, then the Install & Finish buttons.
- The move is now complete.
If you receive a warning via email or on the website with code 10020 and the message Remote service Machine ID or MAC address changed, you can ignore it.
